Turkey has for centuries been a bridge between The Middle East and Europe. In 1995 Istanbul was  fast growing with 1 million persons a year. The infrastructure was terrible. Everybody in Turkey has a cousin in Istanbul, so they could as well move to there. But still it is a wonderful mixture of culture, architecture and with its myriads of people.
