In 2016 my wife and I revisited Berlin together with members of “Fotosyndikatet – an unofficial group we have with friends. The members are besides from us: Marianne and Leif Christensen, Hanne Thomsen and Erik Holmgaard, Mille Jørgensen and Peter Klode. The purpose was to relax and get the memory cards filled with good photography.

The changes around The Wall were significant. The two parts of the town had melted beautifully together, and the visible scars were healed. During our visit, we explored many of the city’s iconic attractions, including the Reichstag Dome, the Brandenburg Gate, the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, and Museuminsel / Museum Island.

We noticed significant changes around The Wall; the two parts of the city had beautifully blended, and the visible scars of division had healed. The rebuilding of Potsdamer Platz was finished to a modern square with skyscrapers, glass, and steel.

When you walk around a big city like Berlin, you see many different people.
