Breaking Down the SønderjyskE Victory: A Portfolio

SØNDERJYSKE-RUNGSTED 2024

This portfolio is from the quarter final series SønderjyskE-Rungsted 2024. SønderjyskE ended up winning the series 4-0 and winning the Danish championship.

To show intensity in an Ice Hockey Game.

When photographing an ice hockey game, there is no time to enjoy the game. You have to constantly concentrate on the next situation in the viewfinder or on the screen. Even if you have a camera with a good autofocus system, there will be situations where it can’t keep up, and there will also be a number of situations where the composition is not right, and then there are situations where the picture doesn’t turn out as interesting as you thought. In short; there is a big waste when you photograph ice hockey.
Sønderjyske and Rungsted have been rivals for more than 50 years, so there is always a fight to the finish when the two teams meet. A win for us means that the bragging rights are ours until the next game.
The quarter-final series here in 2024 was won 4-0 in matches by SønderjyskE, who had played excellently all spring, and they also ended up winning the Danish championship. Our small town of Vojens only has approx. 7000 inhabitants, so SønderjyskE is our sporting flagship, that a lot of people follow.
