What Are the Best Locations for Photography in Denmark?

DENMARK DIGITAL

This gallery is a mixture of images from various places in Denmark. With digital photography the relation between black & white and color has changed more to color. But especially in street photography, I still like B&W.

Denmark - Ideal Locations for Photography Enthusiasts

Around 2005 I went digital regarding Photography, and I have been happy about that ever since. Not that I didn’t like to work in the darkroom, and I was privileged, I had a room for me and even piped water. But the darkroom work was a slow process, and after working an evening, I came out with 8-10 images. In digital photography there are unlimited possibilities for editing and do it more precisely and see the result immediately: The later years editing possibilities have developed with F1 speed. .AI has entered photography, and I’m not a fan of it. It is OK you have the possibility, but it’s not your image anymore. As app I have always used Adobe Photoshop and as plugin, I use Luminar Neo, and I think I’ll go on with that.

My images in this gallery are some locals, from Copenhagen, Aarhus, Odense, and the west coast of Denmark.
• A couple of moto-cross images from Skovbybanen, Haderslev
• Some ice hockey images from a match SønderjyskE-Herning 2011 in my own home town Vojens.
• Some local landscapes shot at Hindemade – a local beautiful lake and surroundings.
• The images from Aarhus are from the beautiful Museum Aros in the center of Aarhus. It is a calming experience to walk around in a museum with its special spirit, enjoy the exhibition and even shoot your own images.
• Copenhagen, home for our King, our government, Folketinget – our parliament, and our capitol. A fantastic city to visit, walk around in, and do street photography in. Also impressing but overrun by tourists is Nyhavn/New Harbour and the amusement park Tivoli For me they are a little overrated. Here on the site I have two galleries from Copenhagen.

Denmark, the oldest kingdom of the world, with its fairy tale landscapes, charming architecture, and vibrant culture, is a photographer’s paradise. Whether you’re shooting in stunning natural settings or capturing the quaint beauty of its cities, there’s a wealth of subjects to explore.

Copenhagen: A Blend of Modern and Historic

As the capital city of Denmark, Copenhagen is a vibrant hub of activity and history. One of the most iconic sights is the colorful waterfront of Nyhavn. Here, you can photograph the picturesque canals lined with classic Danish houses and boats, particularly beautiful during sunrise or sunset when the light reflects off the water. The historic amusement park, Tivoli Gardens, also offers unique opportunities to capture stunning architecture, bright lights, and the joyful spirit of visitors.

Aarhus: Cultural Capital

Aarhus, Denmark’s second-largest city, is known for its rich cultural scene and modern architecture. The ARoS Aarhus Art Museum is a great place to visit, especially its rooftop rainbow panorama, which provides an excellent backdrop for unique photos. Strolling through the old town, Den Gamle By, allows you to capture traditional Danish architecture while experiencing a slice of history. The juxtaposition of modern and historical elements in Aarhus provides endless creative possibilities.
